Updates...

Ok so I figured that since I bugged some of my friends on Facebook to write a blog post then I should write one as well. It has been a long time since I have written, I think the last time was in July but I didn't really give an update on all that has been happening.

Okay so Gabe and I moved from Texas to Oregon in February. We moved in with Kendra and Matt and have been living with them since February 13th. I started working at another Walmart that was about 15 miles from Kendra's house and just cost way to much in gas, plus it sucked, it was the worst run place I have ever been at. My Walmart in Texas about 100,000 sq ft bigger than this place and was run SO much better and it felt more like a team then just a place that a lot of people go to work. So the first chance I got I transferred out of there. There just so happened to be a Neighborhood Market store opening, just a grocery store Walmart, right down the road from our house. Like 5 minutes away from home rather than 25-30.
I started working at the new store about 2 weeks before it opened, so it was still during the set up stages. I loved it! It was so awesome to start a whole new store, with a lot of people that had never worked for Walmart before. It was so nice to do hard work with people we all developed a strong bond, and great friendships. I am so sad to leave them all behind.
I am transferring again on Friday of this week...
I'm so sad...
I have to keep reminding myself it is for the best...
But that doesn't really help...
One of best people I have ever met told me today that I was a really great friend for her. She told me that she doesn't have very many friends, she has a lot of acquaintances but not very many true friends. I almost cried when she told me that because I leave on Friday and even though I will still shop there every week, it won't be the same.
I am going to another new store, in all my time with Walmart I will have been in 5 different stores starting on Monday, and 3 of them have been in the last 6 months. How crazy is that?
I think I am going to have a really hard time leaving on Friday.
I know I am.
I have some awesome friends there.
It has always been so hard for me to keep friends, and unfortunately I know that when I am no longer there everyday it just won't be the same.

Okay so on a good note-
When you are with Walmart you cannot transfer from one store to another unless you have been in your store for over 6 months, if you have to transfer you have to get the new store to sign a form saying that they will take you on even though you haven't been with the other store for 6 months, then that store has to convince the store you are currently at that you are needed more at the new store. It is all really complicated, and in most cases just better to wait till the 6 month mark. When I transferred from Cornelius to the store on Cornell I had been there only 2 months, my start date there was like Feb 16 and I left at the beginning of May, so I have been at the Cornell store Since May. But I just my transfer request in the computer in October so I hadn't been here for 6 months yet. When I transferred from Cornelius even though I was only there for a short time they fought for me, they said that I was really needed, unfortunately I couldn't be transferred as what I really wanted and needed, which was full time and hopefully a CSM because it is harder to transfer and raise your pay grade, but the new store, Apple Way, wants me so bad that I am one of the only full time transfers! I told them that the only way I was going to be able to transfer was if I would get full time. I need the hours, even though if there is a chance I will cut the time, lol.
Ok well that is all the updates I have for everyone so I'll post pictures now.

Then he lost the one that was directly under that! GOL. Now he is a toothless boy. I have been calling him Toothless lately. GOL

Gabe started kindergarten in September. This was his treat after his first day. He only goes to school for about 3 hours a day but he sure was tired after this day.

We moved to a new place in September also, we had no idea that there was a playground or anything around, the lady showing us the house barely knew anything about the house let a lone about the area. But we met the neighbor, we are in a duplex in an awesome little neighborhood, and she told us about this park. There is also a trail that goes all the way around a big grass field. It is pretty much awesome!

And here is a really cute one of both kids. They get along so well, most of the time.

Feelings

Okay so I am watching this show called Medium and they are talking about sentencing a man to the death penalty, and I have started thinking that I'm not to thrilled with the death penalty. I think that people that murder others or hurt others very badly, such as rapist or what have you, should be locked up forever, but I do not think that as another human being we have the right to put someone to death. I know that everyone will not agree with this, and I know that a lot of people have very strong views on it, but I had to get it out and I figured Facebook would not be a good place for it. So here it is. I am not sure if my views come from my belief in God or if they come from just my feelings of human rights. Maybe it is a little of both.
I feel better now, I know that I can talk to people about this, and it is not some deep dark secret that I have to keep to myself, but I really felt like I had to get it out, and this was the best way for that. So thank you for reading it and that is all for tonight.

New beginnings

So Gabe and I are moving!!! We are planning on leaving about the 6th of February, and getting to Portland by the 10th. I have called the Walmart in Cornelius OR, and hopefully I will get a call back from them soon. I might have to start as cashier and work back up to the service desk or money center, but I'm okay with that.
I wasn't going to move until June or July, but it turns out that Kendra and Matt need help with rent, so it is either me and Gabe or some stranger that they do not know, or someone that they do not trust as much as me. I can not wait! I am going to the DMV on Friday to start getting my drivers license.
Kendra is going to fly out here around the first of Feb and she will be able to help with the driving if I have my drivers license. If I did not get it then we would both be driving out to Oregon illegally. Thankfully it will not take very long to get it. We are going to take a long time to get to Oregon because we want to not be too stressed about it.
Gabe's birthday is the 5th and we are going to take him to the bounce house. I was thinking of inviting his friends from school, but since we are moving the next day we will just do it on his birthday and only have a family day, so it will be Mom, Dad, Laura, Kendra, Elliott, Brittany, Lynzie, Aviana, Billy Jr and Billy Sr. Oh and Gabe and I. I think it is going to be a blast and I really think Gabe will enjoy it. He is going to get a Nintendo 3ds. this is the Nintendo 3DS that I have found. I think I'm gonna go with the bundle, but we'll see.

I'm so excited that I am going to move back to my home. I love mom and dad but I am so ready to be on my own. Love you all. See most of you soon!

New plans in the new year

This year is going to be full of new changes, but they are not going to start until around June. Gabe and I are going to be moving back to Portland, Oregon. I love it there and it is very much my home, I feel comfortable there, even with the traffic, and with a car it will be easier to get around, when I have to get some where fast, and if not I'll just take the bus like before. It will also be very good for Gabe, Chris will only be 3 hours away at the most, and Patti and Wayne are about the same distance away, there will also be Kendra and Lisa in Oregon, and when Peggie graduates she will be out there too. I think she graduates sometime this spring but I can't remember.
I have graduated with my Associates degree in Human Services, so once I am able to transfer out to Oregon with Walmart I will start looking for a job with CPS while I continue to work on my Bachelors degree.
Gabe has been having a hard time in school lately, when he first started he loved going to school, now we have trouble about once or twice a week with him saying he doesn't want to go to school. He says the reason for that is because there is a little kid in his class that pushes him down. This little kid does it when Gabe is not allowed to talk and Gabe being a good kid doesn't talk when he isn't supposed to. We have talked to the teacher and he says he has not seen anything, we have tried to convince Gabe that when the kid picks on him he needs to tell the teacher, it doesn't matter where or when they are he needs to raise his hand or just go up to the teacher and tell him. I think we have finally convinced him that that's what is going to happen next time, but we'll see. The teacher finally told him the same thing, so if the teacher said it, in Gabe's mind that is law.
